| es_MX |

En | "This work concerns the problem of point estimation in para- metric statistical models, and the three main objectives of this ex- position are as follows: (i) To analyze two methods of construct- ing estimators, namely, the maximum likelihood technique and the method of moments, (ii) To provide detailed illustrations of basic notion in the theory, as unbiasedness, consistency and asymptotic normality, and (iii) To give a detailed derivation of the limit distri- bution of sample quantiles. The main contribution of this note is to present a complete derivation of this last result which, combines the central limit theorem with the relation between the distribution of an order statistic and binomial random variables." | es_MX |
