T: The effect of genetically modified (GM) technology with GM1, GM2 and GM3 on S. frugiperda in maize fields under a complete block design with four replications, each block with twelve treatments (GM2 without insecticide application, GM2 with pest control (CP), hybrid conventional GM2+CP, GM2 conventional hybrid control pests without, GM1 without application of insecticide, GM1 + CP, hybrid conventional GM1+ CP, GM1 conventional hybrid without insecticide application, GM3 without application of insecticide, GM3 + CP, GM3 conventional hybrid + CP and GM3 conventional hybrid without insecticide application) and each treatment with six rows 5 m long and linear row spacing of 0.8 m. The evaluation was done on Díaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas in the fall-winter 2011. The results were analyzed using SAS software to compare means of Tukey (P≤0.05). We also evaluated the effect of corn on the nontarget arthropod diversity in plots of 20 rows of 5 m long with row spacing of 0.8 m using three types of sampling (yellow traps, pitfall and redeo), we calculated the diversity of insects with the Shannon-Wiener index H  pi pi e log and dominance by Simpson's index  2 D pi and analyzed the density of population by nonparametric statistics using the Kruskal-Wallis test. GM maize hybrids exert excellent control on populations of S. frugiperda with a percentage of leaf damage of 0.02 and 0.06, 0.05 and 0.09 and 1.8 and 2.9 with no control and insect control technology for GM2, GM1 and GM3 and 6.5 and 9, 7.2 and 9, and 9 and 9 for their isogenes in technologies GM2, GM1 and GM3. Analysis of diversity and dominance of the total density of arthropods in the maize agroecosystem revealed a population density of non-target arthropods significantly higher in Bt maize fields compared to the isogenic, probably due to increased availability of biomass in maize without budworm damage. The corn technology offers an excellent option in the control of armyworm and not put pressure on the nontarget arthropod diversity of technology, genetically modified corn GM1, GM2 and GM3 may be referred to an integrated management pests, following suitable agronomic practices for this transgenic material.es_MX
